Salary: £30,765 to £31,688 - Pro rata

The Role
The Finance and Administration Officer will play a key role in supporting both the financial and administrative functions of a thriving primary school. The successful candidate will work as part of a collaborative office team, ensuring high standards of financial administration and customer service.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinance
- Support effective financial systems, accountability, and budget monitoring within the school.
- Process purchase orders, invoices, and payments using the school's finance system.
- Manage petty cash transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
- Support the administration and monitoring of government grants, including Pupil Premium and Sports Premium funding.
- Assist with income and expenditure relating to school trips, lettings, and fundraising activities.
- Support cash collection, reconciliation, and banking procedures.
- Assist with monthly and year-end financial processes, including audit requirements.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, delegated authority procedures, and relevant financial standards.
- Provide administrative and reception support as part of the school office team.
- Respond to enquiries from parents, staff, and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Support the leadership team with a range of administrative tasks.
- Maintain accurate records and systems, including inventory management.
- Contribute to the efficient day-to-day operation of the school office and wider school activities.
- Have experience in financial administration, ideally within a school, education, or public sector setting.
- Demonstrate excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Be confident using financial and administrative systems.
- Be able to prioritise workloads and work effectively in a busy environment.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
