School Porter

Multi-Skilled Portering Operatives – Horsham, West Sussex 
£13.10 per hr + Benefits

Based in Horsham, our client is a unique co-educational boarding school and charitable foundation which provides first class education to around 900 children from all backgrounds, supported by around 500 members of staff. 
 
They are looking for reliable, hardworking and customer-focused Multiskilled Portering Operatives to support the smooth day-to-day operation of the school.

This is a varied and hands-on position, including:
•    Daily collection and delivery of laundry
•    Setting up and taking down equipment, furniture and signage for events and    functions 
•    Collection and delivery of goods and parcels around the site
•    Transport and porterage support for off-site events
•    Supporting the Cleaning and Laundry teams as part of the wider Domestic Operations function     
•    Must be able to lift and carry up to 15kg

A full clean driving licence is essential, as the successful candidate will be required to drive School vehicles. A Category 1 licence is preferable and/or willingness to train.

Normal hours are 7.30am–4.00pm, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break, working 5 days out of 7 and including some weekends during term time.
