This is more than simply looking after buildings.
You’ll be working in an environment supporting children and young people with special educational needs, so being calm, patient and approachable is important.
You may regularly see and interact with students around the school, so we’re looking for someone who understands the importance of safeguarding, professionalism and creating a safe environment for everyone.
Who Would Suit This Role?
You could already be working as a Site Assistant, Caretaker, Premises Assistant, Facilities Assistant or Maintenance Operative.
Alternatively, you may have practical maintenance or facilities experience and be looking for an opportunity to move into a school environment.

- Practical and happy to get stuck in
- Able to spot problems and use their initiative
- Comfortable carrying out basic maintenance tasks
- Friendly and professional around staff and students
- Able to work as part of a busy site team
