About the Role

A welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Manchester is seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Science Teacher (QTS) to join our thriving Science Department.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is enthusiastic about Biology, Chemistry, and Physics and committed to delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

You will be joining a supportive team that values innovation in teaching and strives to inspire curiosity and achievement in all learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and well-structured Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Teach Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in line with the national curriculum
• Plan and assess student progress effectively, using data to support achievement
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
• Support students in developing scientific knowledge, practical skills, and exam confidence
• Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development
• Participate in extracurricular science clubs, enrichment activities, or STEM initiatives

Person Specification

We are looking for someone who has:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• A degree in Science or a related subject
• Strong subject knowledge across the three sciences
• Excellent classroom management skills
• A passion for making science engaging and accessible
• The ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
