We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join our thriving secondary school in Guildford. Whether your specialism is Biology, Chemistry or Physics, you'll be joining a supportive department committed to delivering engaging, high-quality science education across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 for suitable candidates.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to develop their career in a collaborative and ambitious school environment.

The Role

You will:

  • Deliver inspiring and challenging Science lessons that foster curiosity and academic success.

  • Plan, assess and monitor student progress to ensure every learner achieves their potential.

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and departmental initiatives.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to continually improve teaching and learning.

We Are Looking For

The successful candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • A degree in a Science-related subject.

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for science education.

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

  • High expectations for student achievement and behaviour.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
