Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a successful and inclusive secondary school in Daventry to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher for a full-time position starting in September.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher to join a supportive department and inspire pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4. The school is seeking a confident classroom practitioner who can deliver engaging, well-planned Science lessons and foster a positive learning environment where all students are encouraged to achieve their potential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing and delivering high-quality Science lessons in line with the national curriculum. You will assess and monitor pupil progress, provide constructive feedback, maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement, and contribute positively to the wider life of the school. The ability to teach Biology, Chemistry or Physics to GCSE level would be advantageous, although applications are welcomed from teachers with a broad Science specialism.

This role is suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers who are looking to develop their practice within a welcoming and well-resourced school. You will be supported by an experienced leadership team and collaborative Science department, with opportunities for professional development throughout the academic year.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school setting
• Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum
• A commitment to raising standards and supporting positive pupil outcomes
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through Tradewind Recruitment
