We are working in partnership with a progressive and welcoming secondary school in Northampton that is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Science Teacher from September 2026. This is a full-time position available on either a permanent or fixed-term basis, depending on the successful candidate and the needs of the school.

This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative Science department where high expectations, teamwork, and student progress are key priorities.



About the Role

  • Teach engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 available in some contexts
  • Design and deliver well-planned lessons that build scientific knowledge, skills, and curiosity
  • Bring Science to life through practical experiments and investigative learning
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, offering clear and supportive feedback
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental improvement
  • Support extra-curricular opportunities such as STEM clubs, science fairs, and trips
  • Work closely with colleagues to share resources and strengthen teaching practice


We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent
  • A specialism in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science
  • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Science teaching
  • The ability to engage, support, and challenge learners of all abilities
  • Effective classroom management with a calm and consistent approach
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to the wider school community
  • ECTs are encouraged to apply and will be fully supported through induction and mentoring
