We are currently seeking a reliable and organised Science Technician specialising in Physics to join a secondary school in Greenwich on a full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare equipment and materials for practical science lessons.
- Set up, support and clear away laboratory experiments.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and monitor stock levels.
- Ensure laboratories are clean, organised and maintained to a high standard.
- Prepare, handle and safely store chemicals in accordance with health and safety procedures.
- Support teaching staff during practical lessons where required.
- Carry out routine maintenance and safety checks on laboratory equipment.
- Ensure all practical resources are ready and available for lessons.
- Previous experience as a Science Technician or within a laboratory environment is desirable.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- A good understanding of laboratory health and safety procedures.
- Knowledge or experience within Physics is highly desirable.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
