Key Stage Teacher Supply
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Science Technician to work at a school in Darwen.
Location: Darwen
Days: Monday, Wednesday & Friday
Hours: 9:00am – 3:00pm
Working Pattern: 3 days per week
The Role The successful candidate will provide practical support to the school’s science department, helping to prepare and organise laboratory equipment, materials and experiments, while ensuring a safe and well-maintained laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing equipment and materials for science lessons
- Supporting teachers with practical experiments
- Setting up and clearing away laboratory equipment
- Maintaining and organising laboratory resources
- Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed
- Carrying out basic stock checks and ordering supplies when required
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised laboratory environment
- Previous experience as a Science/Lab Technician is preferred
- Good knowledge of laboratory equipment and health & safety procedures
- Organised, reliable and detail-oriented
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience working within a school or educational environment would be advantageous
