Science Technician

Full-Time | Term Time Only | Temp to Perm Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Science Technician to join a well-established and supportive secondary school in Lytham (FY8). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for science to play a key role in supporting engaging and practical science lessons across Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.

This position is full-time, Monday to Friday, term time only, starting on a temporary basis with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.

• Preparing, setting up, and clearing away equipment and materials for science lessons
• Supporting the delivery of practical experiments across Chemistry, Physics, and Biology
• Maintaining a safe, organised, and well-stocked laboratory environment
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures at all times
• Ordering, monitoring, and managing stock of science supplies and equipment
• Assisting teaching staff with classroom and laboratory preparation

• Previous experience in a similar Science Technician or laboratory-based role (desirable)
• A strong interest or background in science
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• The ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks effectively
• A proactive, flexible, and team-focused approach
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety

• Full-time hours, Monday – Friday (term time only)
