Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with a secondary school in Wirral who are looking for a Science Technician to join their dedicated Science Department.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a scientific or laboratory background who enjoys working in a practical environment and supporting students with their learning.

The Role:

• Preparing equipment and materials for practical science lessons
• Supporting teachers with practical demonstrations and experiments
• Setting up and clearing away practical activities
• Maintaining laboratory equipment and resources
• Ensuring laboratories are clean, safe and well organised
• Managing stock levels and ordering equipment and materials
• Following appropriate health and safety procedures
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the Science Department

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience in a laboratory, science or school environment
• Good knowledge of laboratory equipment and procedures
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent organisational skills
• A proactive and reliable approach
• Comfortable working alongside both staff and students
• Knowledge of health and safety within a laboratory environment
