Contract type: Temp – perm following 12 weeks successful temporary placement 

Working hours: Monday – Friday, term time only

Unique School Solutions are supporting a large Secondary School in Sheffield to recruit for a Science Technician. You will support the Science Department with preparing and managing practical resources, as well as ensuring strict health and safety compliance. This is a full-time role, starting September 2026 and for the right person, could lead to a permanent job after 12 weeks.

Essential requirements for the role:

• Previous experience working within a laboratory, ideally within a school setting
• Familiarity with all sciences, Biology, Physics and Chemistry up to A Level
• The ability to build rapport with young learners
• The ability to work under the direction of the class teacher as well as using own initiative
• Good working Health & Safety knowledge
