Smile Education are recruiting qualified Secondary Cover Teachers to support secondary schools in Oldham.
This is ideal for QTS teachers looking for greater flexibility without stepping away from the classroom. Whether you want day-to-day supply, short-term cover, long-term work or temp-to-perm opportunities, we have roles available across local secondary schools.
Work is available from one to five days per week, depending on your availability.

The Role
As a Secondary Cover Teacher, you will deliver pre-planned lessons, maintain positive classroom behaviour and ensure pupils remain engaged in their learning.
You will work across KS3 and KS4, with schools aiming to place you within your subject specialism where possible.

Requirements
  • QTS, QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification is essential.
  • ECTs and experienced teachers are both encouraged to apply.
  • You must have confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • You should be adaptable, reliable and professional.
  • You must be confident delivering pre-planned lessons across secondary age groups.
  • You must hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one.
  • You must have the right to work in the UK.

Pay and Benefits
  • £170–£235 per day, dependent on experience and role responsibilities.
