Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Qualification: HLTA status or relevant experience required
Pay Rate: Starting at £120 per day

We are seeking a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming secondary school on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting students' learning while taking on additional classroom responsibilities.

As a HLTA, you will work closely with teachers to support students across a range of subjects, deliver planned lessons in the teacher's absence, and provide targeted intervention for individuals and small groups. Your contribution will play a key role in helping students achieve their full potential.

• Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
• Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups to improve progress and attainment
• Work alongside teaching staff to plan and deliver effective learning activities
• Support students with a range of learning needs, adapting resources where appropriate
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
• Help maintain a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
• Promote positive behaviour and support the school's behaviour policy

• HLTA status or relevant experience working in a similar role within a secondary school
• Experience supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Confidence leading whole-class learning when required
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A proactive and flexible approach to supporting students and staff
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
