Are you a passionate and dedicated PE Teacher looking for a short-term opportunity this October?

Teach Ltd is currently recruiting an enthusiastic, committed and inspiring PE Teacher to support a secondary school for a temporary placement from 5th October to 22nd October.

The role will consist of approximately 80% PE and 20% Dance, providing an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is confident delivering engaging lessons across both subjects.

The Role

As a PE & Dance Teacher, your responsibilities may include:

• Planning and delivering engaging, challenging and age-appropriate PE and Dance lessons
• Teaching PE across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Delivering Dance lessons as part of the timetable
• Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment
• Differentiating lessons to meet the needs and abilities of individual students
• Assessing and monitoring student progress
• Providing constructive feedback to support student development
• Managing student behaviour effectively
• Building positive relationships with students and colleagues
• Maintaining high expectations of achievement, participation and behaviour
• Supporting students with additional needs and adapting learning where required
• Ensuring lessons are safe, structured and engaging
• Following school policies and safeguarding procedures
• Working collaboratively with other teaching and support staff
• Contributing positively to the wider life of the school

What We’re Looking For

We are keen to hear from candidates who have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification
• Strong PE subject knowledge and teaching experience
• Confidence delivering Dance or a willingness to teach Dance as part of the role
• Previous experience working within a secondary school environment
• A genuine passion for PE, Dance and supporting young people's development
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons
• A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching
• A reliable, professional and enthusiastic attitude
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and student welfare
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
