Veritas Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Blackpool who are looking to appoint a number of Teaching Assistants from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants, graduates considering a career in education, or individuals with relevant experience supporting young people who are looking to make a real difference in the classroom.



The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support students both in and out of the classroom
  • Work closely with teaching staff to raise attainment and engagement
  • Provide 1:1 and small group interventions
  • Support pupils with additional learning needs, including SEMH and SEND
  • Help promote positive behaviour and a safe learning environment
  • Build strong relationships with students and staff across the school


The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

  • Have previous experience working with young people (school-based experience desirable but not essential)
  • Be confident supporting students with varying learning needs and abilities
  • Have strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Be enthusiastic, resilient and adaptable
  • Be passionate about helping young people achieve their potential
