Secondary Sensory Teacher

• Deliver high-quality lessons as a Secondary Sensory Teacher in Chiswick.
• Plan learning activities for pupils with high needs, PMLD and complex learning needs.
• Use sensory-based teaching approaches and specialist resources.
• Adapt lessons to meet different communication and learning needs.
• Support pupils to develop communication, interaction and life skills.
• Monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate records.
• Work alongside teaching assistants, therapists and other professionals.
• Create a calm, structured and engaging classroom environment.
• Follow pupil care, safeguarding and health and safety procedures.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching secondary-aged pupils.
• Experience working with pupils with PMLD, high needs or complex learning needs is desirable.
• Knowledge of sensory-based learning and communication strategies.
• A patient and adaptable approach to teaching.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Previous SEN teaching experience is required.
