Long Term Futures are recruiting Secondary Teachers across all subject areas for a range of September 2026 opportunities across London.

We are working with secondary schools looking to secure teachers ahead of the new academic year, with both permanent and long-term temp-to-perm positions available. There is particularly high demand for English Teachers, Maths Teachers and Science Teachers, although qualified teachers from all secondary subject specialisms are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 opportunities available
  • Deliver your subject specialism in line with the UK secondary curriculum
  • Prepare students effectively for GCSE and, where applicable, A-Level examinations
  • Assess, monitor and track student progress
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, engagement and achievement
  • Contribute to curriculum development and the wider life of the school
  • Work collaboratively with departmental and senior leadership teams

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
  • Experience teaching within a UK secondary school is highly desirable
  • Strong subject and curriculum knowledge
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management
  • Ability to inspire and engage secondary-aged students
  • Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
  • Both experienced teachers and suitable ECTs are encouraged to apply
