Section Engineer

Carmichael UK are seeking an experienced Section Engineer to join a major highways project in East London. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the delivery in the early stages of one of the UK's most significant civil engineering schemes, working alongside a leading Tier 1 contractor on complex and technically challenging works.

• Managing engineering activities across designated sections of work.
• Supporting the delivery team to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to programme.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and construction methodologies.
• Producing and reviewing RAMS, ITPs and quality documentation.
• Managing subcontractors and coordinating site activities.
• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with design and quality requirements.
• Maintaining site records, QA documentation and as-built information.
• Supporting junior engineers and site teams.

• Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a Section Engineer on major infrastructure projects.
• Strong background in heavy civils, highways, structures, earthworks or utilities.
• Experience managing engineering teams and subcontractors.
• Competent with setting out, quality assurance and temporary works processes.
• CSCS Card essential.
• SMSTS preferred.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
