Section Engineer - Civils / Infrastructure

Job Title: Section Engineer - Heavy Civils/Infrastructure - Heathrow Airport

Rate: £400-£425 per day (Inside IR35)

Contract Length: 6-9 months (strong likelihood of extension)

Location: Heathrow Airport, Airside & Landside

Job Description:

TRIbuild Solutions is recruiting an experienced Section Engineer on behalf of a Tier 1 contractor delivering heavy civils and infrastructure upgrade works at Heathrow Airport. The role covers both airside and landside operations and offers an initial 6-9 month contract with strong potential for extension.

The successful candidate will take ownership of a defined section of works, ensuring technical delivery is compliant with design, programme, and quality requirements, while working closely with the wider project team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day engineering delivery for allocated section of works
• Oversee and coordinate subcontractor activities, ensuring compliance with programme, quality, and safety standards
• Undertake setting out, surveying, and technical checks
• Liaise with design teams, site management, and client representatives
• Support production of RFIs, technical queries, and as-built records
• Ensure works are delivered in line with airside/landside safety protocols

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Section Engineer on heavy civils/infrastructure projects
• Prior experience managing subcontractors is essential
• Airside/airport project experience highly desirable
• Relevant degree or equivalent industry qualification
• Valid CSCS card
• Airside pass/security clearance eligibility (or ability to obtain)
