Location: Suffolk / East Anglia
Salary: Up to £49,500 + Company Car or Car Allowance + Benefits
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Our client, a trusted provider of infrastructure and civil engineering solutions, is seeking a Section Engineer to join a major UK infrastructure programme supporting the delivery of significant civil engineering and utility works across East Anglia.
The successful candidate will play a leading role in coordinating engineering activities, ensuring quality standards are achieved and supporting the safe delivery of large-scale construction works including substations, foundations, earthworks, roads and structures.
This role offers the opportunity to work on one of the UK's most ambitious infrastructure programmes whilst developing your career within a growing project team.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate engineering activities across designated sections of work.
- Undertake setting out and engineering control duties.
- Support quality assurance processes and technical compliance.
- Manage engineering records, inspections and documentation.
- Coordinate site engineering activities with construction teams.
- Support the delivery of earthworks, drainage, highways, structures and foundation works.
- Identify and resolve engineering and technical issues.
- Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety, environmental and quality performance.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Section Engineer, Site Engineer or similar engineering role.
- Strong setting out and engineering control experience.
- Civil engineering or infrastructure project background.
- Experience across earthworks, drainage, roads, structures or foundations.
- CSCS Card.
- Construction-related qualification (HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
