Security and Fire Systems Service Engineer

Full-time, Monday to Friday – 08.00 -17.00

Responsibilities:

  • Corrective maintenance works - to include fault finding, troubleshooting and a first-time fix whenever possible
  • Remedial and small works
  • Preventative maintenance
  • Client on site liaison
  • Working with monitored systems in liaison with our Alarm Receiving Centre
  • Act as a Fidelity ambassador when out in the field
  • Completion of all required site and electronic paperwork promptly and with attention to detail
  • Demonstrate good industry knowledge of all required disciplines.
  • Participate in regular ongoing internal and external technical, regulatory, and health and safety training
  • Mentorship and guidance for junior engineers and apprentices
  • Participate in out-of-hours On Call Rota

Key Skills:

  • Demonstrate good industry knowledge of all disciplines of integrated Security and Life Safety Systems.
  • Technically strong on electrical principles
  • Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills
  • Sound knowledge of relevant regulations and standards

·Confident user of Microsoft Office and working with networked/IP-based systems

Salary and Benefits:

·£32,000 - £40,500, depending on skills and experience

·Company vehicle and fuel card

·Out of hours On Call is required roughly one week in six.£385/week standby payment, plus callouts at:£90 for travel to and first hour on site, your standard overtime rate for subsequent hours

·Paid overtime at 1.5x standard hourly rate
