Security Officer

We are looking for a professional and reliable Security Officer to join our team in Basildon, Essex.

Working as part of the site security team, you will help maintain a safe and secure environment by carrying out patrols, monitoring CCTV, controlling site access, responding to incidents, and providing excellent customer service to staff and visitors. You'll also support emergency response procedures, including fire safety and confined space rescue (full training provided).

Shift pattern includes working Days, nights and weekends (Average 42 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct security patrols across the site.
• Monitor CCTV and respond to incidents.
• Control access and issue visitor passes.
• Operate the gatehouse and reception areas.
• Respond to fire alarms and emergency situations.
• Manage keys and complete security audits.
• Provide general administrative support, including switchboard duties when required.
• Support wider facilities operations as needed.

Requirements

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible to work a range of shift patterns.
• Willing to complete fire safety and confined space rescue training.
