Location: Dartford

Contract length: 6 months (potential to go into a permanent contract)

Shift Pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off (12-hour shifts: 05:00–17:00 / 17:00–05:00)

Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services is currently seeking a proactive, professional Security Officers to join the team at a high-profile, critical national infrastructure site in Dartford. You will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of tunnels, depots and the surrounding network. This is a unique, fast-paced environment where your contribution directly impacts the safe and efficient operation of this essential transport link.

We are looking for individuals who can work effectively as part of a team, maintain a high level of alertness, and provide excellent service to the public and stakeholders. 

Key Responsibilities

• Site Security: Conduct regular patrols of the network and depots on foot and in 4x4 patrol vehicles.

• Incident Response: Respond promptly and professionally to all security-related incidents.

• Operational Duties: Monitor CCTV systems, manage the issue of keys and contractor permits and maintain accurate security audit trails.

• Vehicle Management: Support the Kent Marshalling Area (KMA) by marshalling vehicles, processing dangerous goods and assisting with traffic flow.

• Customer Service: Operate the free cycle bus service between Kent and Essex and maintain a first-class standard of service for the public.

What We Need From You

• Driving License: A full UK driving license is essential, as you will be required to drive 4x4 patrol vehicles in all conditions

• Attitude: A proactive, resilient and professional approach. You must be comfortable working under pressure and capable of making clear decisions in challenging situations

• Experience: Previous experience in security or customer-facing operational roles (such as toll operations or similar fast-paced environments) is desirable

• Licensing: An SIA license is desirable but not essential; we are willing to support the right candidates in obtaining this certification while in the role

• Flexibility: Ability to work a 12-hour shift pattern (days and nights) on a 4-on-4-off rota
