SEMH Teacher (Mainstream/SEN) - Peasedown
Paid to Scale | Full-time | Start ASAP or September
We are seeking a passionate and resilient SEMH Teacher to join a supportive school in Peasedown, working within a mainstream setting with SEN responsibilities.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced educator-or a teacher with a strong interest in behaviour and inclusion-to make a real difference supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The Role
Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons within a mainstream classroom
Provide targeted support for pupils with SEMH needs
Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
Manage and support behaviour effectively using a consistent and nurturing approach
Work collaboratively with the SENCO, support staff, and external professionals
The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience working with SEMH, SEN, or challenging behaviour is highly desirable
Strong classroom management skills and a calm, patient approach
Ability to build positive relationships and engage pupils who may struggle in traditional settings
A flexible and proactive mindset

Essential Criteria:
- Able to work 5 days a week (term time only), Monday-Friday 8:30-15:30
- Right to work in the UK - we CANNOT accept sponsorship or a skilled worker visa
- Minimum two recent references, covering the last two years
- Up-to-date DBS/police check, or be willing to obtain one*
*Please note, if you do not have a Non-Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, we will need to help you process a new one at a cost of £62.70. This will be refunded after 20 days of work with us.
