Are you a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people? We are working with a welcoming and supportive SEMH school in Lytham to recruit a permanent Teacher of Mathematics to join their team from September.
This is an exciting opportunity to teach within a nurturing environment where you can focus on building positive relationships and delivering engaging lessons that inspire students to achieve their potential. With class sizes of no more than five pupils, you'll have the time and opportunity to provide personalised support and make a lasting impact on every learner.
Your Role:
As the school's Mathematics Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Plan, prepare and assess lessons that meet the individual needs of students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and academic progress.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider multidisciplinary team to support student development.
- Create a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level.
- A passion for supporting students with additional needs and barriers to learning.
- Excellent classroom management and relationship-building skills.
- A patient, resilient and flexible approach to teaching.
- Previous experience within an SEMH, SEND or alternative provision setting is desirable but not essential.
