SEMH Primary Teacher

Prospero Teaching is working with a specialist SEMH school in the Salisbury area to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher (QTS) for a September start. This role would suit an experienced teacher or confident ECT who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and making a meaningful impact on their educational journey.

• Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across the primary curriculum
• Adapt teaching to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEMH needs
• Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
• Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
• Build strong relationships that promote engagement and learning
• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback
• Work closely with teaching assistants, pastoral staff, and wider support teams
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
• Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within a primary setting
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• Patient, resilient, and relationship‑focused approach
• Able to adapt teaching to meet a range of learning and emotional needs
• Passionate about supporting pupils with SEMH needs
• Suitable for experienced teachers and ECTs

• Pay Rate: £32,916 - £51,047 per annum (M1-U3)

• QTS required
• Experience working with SEMH or SEN pupils beneficial but not essential
• ECTs welcome to apply
