Role Overview

GAC Education, a specialist education recruiter, is appointing a SEMH Teaching Assistant in Warrington. You will work with a dedicated consultant and a setting that needs reliable, supportive, and resilient cover.

Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs on a 1:1 and small group basis

• Utilise de-escalation techniques and encourage emotional regulation in the classroom

• Follow the school’s behaviour, safeguarding, and pastoral expectations

• Feedback to the class teacher, SENCO, or cover lead on pupil progress and wellbeing

Requirements

• Right to work in the UK and an Enhanced DBS with Children’s Barred List (or willingness to complete one)

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or complex behavioural needs

• Patient, resilient, empathetic, and classroom-ready

Pay & Benefits

• £85.00 to £115.00 per day
