Machu Specialist Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant on behalf of a welcoming specialist SEMH school in Hayes, Middlesex, supporting pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

THE ROLE
- Support pupils in class and in small groups, following the teacher's planning and adapting to individual needs
- Build calm, trusting relationships that help pupils feel safe and ready to learn
- Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour using trauma-informed strategies
- Help deliver therapeutic and intervention programmes alongside teachers and allied health professionals
- Support pupils during transitions, breaks and off-site activities
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEND or complex needs (paid or voluntary)
- A calm, nurturing manner and genuine commitment to inclusive education
- Ability to stay consistent and composed under pressure
- Good communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (or hold one on the Update Service)
