SEMH Tutor
Prospero Teaching
Prospero Teaching is looking for dedicated and compassionate SEMH Tutors to provide 1:1 support for children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs across Poole.
This rewarding role involves delivering personalised tuition to students who may be out of mainstream education, have experienced trauma, or require additional emotional and behavioural support. Sessions are flexible and range from a few hours to multiple sessions per week. Tutors will also complete weekly progress reports to monitor student development.
If you're passionate about helping young people reach their potential and can build positive relationships, we'd love to hear from you. A driving licence is desirable due to travel between placements.
Contract Details

- Subjects: Functional Skills, Life Skills and Core Subjects
- Start Date: September
- Contract: Part-time, ongoing
- Pay: £25-£30 per hour
- Hours: Flexible
Requirements
Desirable (not essential):
- QTS, QTLS, PGCE or equivalent
- Experience working with SEMH, SEND or vulnerable learners
- Previous UK education experience
- Up-to-date safeguarding training
To be eligible you must:
- Have the Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
- Provide two child-related references
- Have at least one year's experience working with children or young people
