Semi Senior Accountant

A well-established and growing accountancy practice in Helston is looking to recruit a Semi-Senior Accountant to join its friendly and supportive team.

Working closely with the wider accounts team, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships

• Producing and submitting statutory accounts

• Preparing self-assessment tax returns

• Reviewing and submitting VAT returns

• Liaising with clients to resolve accounting and tax queries

• Communicating with HMRC and other relevant parties

• Supporting colleagues across the wider practice

• Building and maintaining strong client relationships

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience within an accountancy practice

• Experience preparing accounts for a range of clients

• An understanding of VAT and statutory accounts

• Self-assessment tax experience would be advantageous

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• A proactive and client-focused approach

• A genuine ambition to progress their career within practice

• Ideally be working towards, or looking to commence, professional accountancy qualifications
