This position is aimed at candidates with basic to intermediate joinery skills. Experienced, fully qualified joiners may find the role too repetitive unless they are specifically seeking a long term opportunity within a manufacturing setting.

  • Monday to Thursday 7:00am to 4:00pm
  • Friday 7:00am to 3:00pm
  • 41.5 hours paid after breaks
  • Overtime available

Initially, this is an ongoing temporary position with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate, based on performance, reliability and business requirements.

Our client is a well established bespoke joinery manufacturer, producing high quality products for commercial interiors across the UK.

.

Their work includes reception desks, retail displays, counters, cabinetry, wall panelling, doors and bespoke furniture for sectors such as retail, offices and public buildings. They are recognised for their high standards of craftsmanship and investment in quality manufacturing.

THE ROLE

Your main responsibility initially will be supporting the production team in the assembly of high quality doors and fire doors. As these products are manufactured to exacting standards, you will need to take pride in your work, have excellent attention to detail and consistently produce work of a high standard.

The role will also involve fitting ironmongery and may include glazing, although previous glazing or ironmongery experience is not essential, as training will be provided for the right candidate.

ESSENTIAL TO APPLY

  • Basic joinery experience.
  • Ideally, but not essential, an NVQ in Carpentry and Joinery.
  • Ability to accurately mitre joints.
  • Experience operating a range of woodworking machinery.
  • Confident using both hand tools and power tools.
  • Flexible and willing to work overtime and alternative shifts when required.
  • Happy to work in a busy manufacturing and production environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Honest, reliable and a strong team player.
  • Committed to producing work to consistently high quality standards.
