Job Title - Curriculum Co-ordinator

Salary - £38,000 - £42,000

Location - Greater Manchester

Contract Type - Full-Time, Permanent

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated educational professional to oversee the design, alignment, and implementation of an ambitious, high-quality curriculum.

The organisation provides specialized educational support tailored to young people with diverse and complex learning needs. It focuses on creating inclusive, trauma-informed environments that empower students to re-engage with their learning journeys successfully.

Role Responsibilities

  • Oversee the strategic development and sequencing of educational plans to ensure a cohesive learning experience across all teaching teams.

  • Monitor the standard of teaching delivery through routine classroom observations, work reviews, and direct student feedback cycles.

  • Deliver targeted instructional coaching and evidence-based professional development to support staff with adaptive teaching strategies.

  • Partner closely with Special Educational Needs (SEN) leads to integrate accessibility features directly into the foundational planning stages.

  • Ensure all educational materials and framework documentation remain updated, compliant with statutory guidelines, and easily accessible.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) along with a relevant degree in education or a closely related specialist field.

  • Substantial background in classroom instruction coupled with leadership experience managing a specific academic subject or educational phase.

  • Proven history of supporting learners with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) difficulties or disrupted educational backgrounds.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to mentor colleagues and give constructive feedback.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of national safeguarding protocols, including Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) regulations, and an Enhanced DBS check.

  • Desired but not essential: Experience working within alternative provision, pupil referral units (PRUs), or therapeutic learning environments.
