This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with autism (ASC), communication difficulties, sensory needs and associated learning and emotional needs.

You will be supporting primary-aged pupils who benefit from a structured, nurturing approach to education, helping them feel safe, build confidence and access learning in a way that works for them.

The role:

  • Support children with autism, communication differences, sensory processing needs and anxiety.

  • Help pupils engage with classroom activities, routines and learning.

  • Work alongside teachers and other professionals to provide consistent, individualised support.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children with SEN, particularly autism or additional learning needs.

  • Understands the importance of routine, clear communication and a supportive learning environment.

  • Is patient, empathetic, proactive and adaptable.

  • Can recognise individual needs and adjust their approach accordingly.

  • Is committed to helping children develop both academically and personally.

  • Is available for full-time work.

Experience in a primary school, SEN school, nursery, childcare setting or a similar support role would be advantageous.

Why work through Academics?

  • Access to opportunities within specialist SEN education.

  • Ongoing support from a dedicated education recruitment consultant.

  • The opportunity to develop your skills and experience in SEND.

  • Rewarding work where you can make a positive difference every day.

If you're looking for a full-time role supporting children with additional needs, contact Academics today to discuss the opportunities available.
