SEN Learning Support Assistant – Secondary School
Salary: £93–£100 per day
Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary
Start date: 21 September 2026
Teach Now is recruiting a caring and reliable SEN Learning Support Assistant for a welcoming secondary school in Hertfordshire. You will support students across Key Stages 3–5, helping them access learning, develop confidence and participate fully in school life.
The Role
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students with SEND
• Help students engage in lessons and access the curriculum
• Follow EHCPs and individual support strategies
• Deliver literacy, numeracy and personalised interventions
• Promote positive behaviour, independence and inclusion
• Monitor progress and work closely with teachers and the SENCO
About You
• Experience working with children or young people
• A patient, positive and inclusive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
School-based experience and knowledge of SEND, EHCPs, complex needs or behaviour support would be advantageous.
