Contract: Full-time, long-term

Pay: £92.63 – £100 per day, depending on experience

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for a Male SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in the Camberley area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), SEMH and behavioural needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and develop their confidence and independence.

The school is looking for someone who can build strong, positive relationships with students and act as a positive male role model where appropriate.

As a SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with additional needs

• Support students with SEN, SEMH, behavioural and learning needs

• Build positive and trusting relationships with students

• Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement

• Support students to access the curriculum and participate in lessons

• Help students develop their confidence, independence and social skills

• Work closely with teachers, the SENCO and pastoral team

• Implement individual support and behaviour strategies

• Provide reassurance and consistency for students who may struggle in a mainstream classroom

• Encourage students to overcome barriers and reach their full potential

• A strong communicator who can build relationships quickly

• Resilient and consistent in their approach

• Able to remain calm under pressure

• Passionate about SEN and helping students succeed

• A positive role model who can encourage and motivate students

Previous experience working with SEN, SEMH, behaviour, education, youth work, sports coaching or mentoring would be highly beneficial, although transferable experience will also be considered.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
