Salary: Main Pay Scale / Upper Pay Scale (dependent on experience)

Veritas Education is proud to be exclusively representing a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Accrington area, which is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Nature Teacher from September 2026.

This is a one-year fixed-term contract in the first instance and is an excellent opportunity for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers with a passion for Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Working within the school's specialist SEN Hub, you will deliver engaging, nature-based learning experiences that inspire pupils and support their academic, social and emotional development.

You will work with pupils with a range of additional needs, including:

• Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Non-verbal pupils
• Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
• Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs

This unique role focuses on outdoor and nature-based learning, using practical, hands-on experiences to help pupils develop confidence, communication, independence and essential life skills in a nurturing and supportive environment.

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or will achieve QTS by September 2026.
• ECTs and experienced teachers are both encouraged to apply.
• Has a genuine passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
• Is creative, patient and committed to providing an inclusive learning environment.
• Previous SEN experience is desirable, although a strong interest in SEN and outdoor learning will also be considered.
