Empowering Learning is working with a growing number of primary schools across North Yorkshire who are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and caring Teaching Assistants to join their teams.

We have opportunities across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, including classroom-based support, 1:1 roles, intervention work and SEN support.

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you could be supporting pupils with:

• Reading, writing and phonics.

• Maths and numeracy.

• Small-group interventions.

• 1:1 learning support.

• Classroom activities.

• Early Years development.

• Children with additional needs.

• Social and emotional development.

• Confidence, communication and independence.

You will work closely with teachers and wider school staff to help create a positive and engaging learning environment where every child has the opportunity to succeed.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience working with children.

• A genuine passion for education.

• A patient, positive and nurturing approach.

• Excellent communication skills.

• The ability to build strong relationships with children.

• Confidence working as part of a classroom team.

• The ability to adapt to different pupils and learning environments.

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
