SEN Support Staff (FULL-TIME) Birmingham

Full-Time | Monday to Friday | Term Time Only

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate FULL-TIME SEN Support Staff to work within welcoming and supportive schools across Birmingham.

About the Role

As a FULL-TIME SEN Support Staff member, you will work closely with students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development. You will collaborate with teaching staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that enables every student to succeed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
  • Support students both inside and outside of the classroom.
  • Assist with implementing individual learning and behaviour support plans.
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and positive engagement in learning.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents where appropriate.
  • Support students with personal care needs where required.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals.
  • Previous SEN experience is desirable but not essential.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build rapport and support positive outcomes.
  • A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential.
Essential Requirements
  • FULL-TIME availability (Monday to Friday)
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
  • Ability to travel to schools across Birmingham
