Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with a variety of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and complex learning needs.
  • Work closely with teachers to deliver engaging and personalised learning activities.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support.
  • Encourage pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Promote positive behaviour and help create an inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assist with personal care where required.


Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable but not essential.
  • A patient, compassionate, and positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to individual pupil needs.
  • An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Relevant qualifications (such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are advantageous but not essential.
