GSL Education London Branch are looking for an experienced female SEN TA to join a welcoming secondary comprehensive school and sixth form for girls in Tower Hamlets. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated SEN TA who is passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and helping them achieve their full potential in a positive and inclusive learning environment.

The successful SEN TA will work closely with teachers, the SEN department and other support staff to ensure every student receives the care and support they need to thrive both academically and personally.

Responsibilities:
- Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in lessons and around the school.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to help students achieve their learning goals.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Carry out general Teaching Assistant (TA) duties throughout the school day.
- Provide intimate care when required, ensuring students are treated with dignity and respect.
- Support students with their personal, social and emotional development.
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote student independence.
- Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
- Work effectively with teaching staff, parents and external professionals where appropriate.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as an SEN TA, Teaching Assistant or in a similar SEN support role.
- Must hold a valid Manual Handling Certificate.
- Must be confident in carrying out general Teaching Assistant (TA) duties and providing intimate care when required.
- Experience supporting students with a range of special educational needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, caring and positive approach to supporting young people.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
- A commitment to creating a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
