About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils with a range of additional learning needs access education in a safe, structured, and positive setting. You will play a key role in supporting learning, behaviour, communication, and personal development.



Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Assist with delivering tailored learning activities
  • Help implement individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Support pupils with communication and social development
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families
  • Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive classroom environment


About You

We are looking for individuals who are:

  • Passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs
  • Patient, caring, and resilient
  • Able to build positive and trusting relationships
  • Flexible and willing to learn new approaches
  • Team players with strong communication skills


Desirable (not essential)

  • Experience working in SEN settings, care, youth work, or education
  • Knowledge of ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or complex learning needs
  • Relevant TA qualifications or willingness to work towards them
  • First aid or safeguarding training
