The school supports Deaf pupils through a language-rich learning environment and is looking for a teacher with a minimum BSL Level 2 qualification who is committed to helping every child reach their full potential. The Role
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet individual learning needs.
- Support Deaf pupils to achieve academically, socially and emotionally.
- Use British Sign Language (BSL) alongside other communication strategies to ensure full access to learning.
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, Speech and Language Therapists, Teachers of the Deaf and external professionals.
- Monitor pupil progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and personalised learning plans.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom where pupils feel confident and valued.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Minimum BSL Level 2 qualification (essential).
- Experience teaching pupils with SEND, ideally within a specialist or inclusive setting.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Passion for inclusive education and supporting Deaf learners.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
