About the Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of a supportive and inclusive Alternative Provision that places positive relationships, personalised learning and student wellbeing at the heart of everything they do.
As an SEN Teacher, you will deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students with a range of additional learning needs. You'll create a structured, nurturing classroom environment where students feel safe, valued and motivated to learn.
Working closely with teaching assistants, pastoral staff, therapists and senior leaders, you'll contribute to personalised learning plans, monitor student progress and adapt your teaching to help every learner achieve meaningful academic, social and emotional outcomes.
You'll play a key role in building positive relationships with students, promoting emotional regulation and supporting them to develop the confidence and resilience needed to succeed both in education and beyond.

What We're Looking For:
* QTS with experience teaching students with additional learning needs
* Experience supporting young people with SEMH, ASD, attachment disorders or behavioural needs
* Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills
* Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* A patient, resilient and flexible approach to teaching
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

Desirable (but not essential):
* Experience working within an Alternative Provision, PRU or specialist setting
* Experience supporting students with EHCPs
* Knowledge of trauma-informed and restorative approaches
* Additional SEND qualifications or relevant professional development
* Experience delivering GCSE or Functional Skills qualifications
