About the Role

Are you a passionate teacher looking for a role where you can truly change lives?

As an SEN Teacher, you'll have the opportunity to support students who need understanding, patience, and inspirational teaching to help them thrive. This is more than a teaching role, it's a chance to build confidence, unlock potential, and celebrate achievements that make a lasting difference.

Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you'll create engaging and personalised learning experiences for students with additional needs, helping them develop academically, socially, and emotionally in a safe and nurturing environment.

Every day brings new opportunities to inspire, encourage, and empower young people to achieve more than they ever thought possible.

What you’ll be doing

  • Planning and delivering tailored teaching that meets the needs of learners with SEND, using approaches that can be individualised and adapted quickly.
  • Creating engaging, practical learning experiences that build communication, independence, resilience, and real-world skills.
  • Working closely with support staff (including Teaching Assistants and other professionals) to ensure consistency across lessons and care routines.
  • Contributing to Education, Health and Care (EHC) planning and supporting progress towards individual targets.
  • Using assessment and feedback to monitor learning, identify barriers early, and shape the next steps.
  • Supporting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing through clear routines, relationship-based strategies, and de-escalation when needed.
  • Collaborating with external professionals as required to ensure learning remains aligned with each learner’s needs.
  • Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, record-keeping, and professional practice.

What you will bring

  • Deliver creative, engaging and personalised lessons that meet individual learning needs.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to support students with a range of SEND and additional needs.
  • Foster a positive, structured and nurturing learning environment where students can flourish.
  • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists and other professionals to maximise outcomes.
  • Monitor progress, celebrate achievements and set meaningful learning targets.
  • Contribute to EHCP reviews and support students in achieving their individual goals.
  • Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing and emotional development.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding and professional practice.

What you will bring

We're looking for someone who is passionate about helping every student succeed, no matter the challenges they face.

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be working towards qualification.
  • Have experience supporting students with SEND, SEMH, autism, communication needs or other additional needs.
  • Be adaptable, patient and resilient in your approach.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students, families and colleagues.
  • Have a creative and flexible teaching style.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
