Prospero Teaching is working with an independent school in the Salisbury area to recruit a passionate and committed SEN Teacher (QTS) for a September start. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and well‑resourced setting that provides tailored education for pupils with a range of additional learning needs.

The Role:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEN
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of learning needs
- Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
- Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider support teams
- Build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
- Promote engagement, confidence, and independence
- Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently
Ideal Candidate:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs
- Strong classroom management and relationship‑building skills
- Patient, adaptable, and resilient approach
- Able to differentiate learning effectively
- Committed to delivering high‑quality teaching and support
- Experience within SEN beneficial but not essential
- Suitable for experienced teachers and ECTs
Contract Details:
- Position: SEN Teacher (QTS)
- Location: Salisbury
- Start Date: September
- Working Pattern: Full‑time
- Contract Type: Permanent
- Pay Rate: £32,916 - £51,047 per annum (M1-U3)
- Key Stages: Primary / Secondary
- Setting: Independent School
Experience, Training & Safeguarding:
- QTS required
- SEN experience beneficial but not essential
- ECTs welcome to apply
- Safeguarding training can be provided
