SEN Teacher - Rugby

Location: Rugby, Warwickshire
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Start Date: September 2026

Hays Education are working with a specialist SEN school in Rugby to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis.

This role involves teaching a KS2 class working at an Early Years level, supporting pupils who follow a semi-formal curriculum pathway. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering and assessing learning that is tailored to meet the individual needs of the pupils.

The Role

• Lead a small primary-aged SEN class
• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
• Adapt learning to meet a range of additional needs
• Monitor progress and complete assessments and reports
• Attend parent evenings and contribute to pupil reviews
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists and families
• Create a positive, nurturing and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has experience teaching pupils with additional needs or adapting learning for children working below age-related expectations
• Understands how to deliver a creative and engaging curriculum
• Is patient, flexible and committed to achieving positive outcomes for all learners
• Has excellent communication and organisational skills
