Are you a passionate SEN Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity within a supportive mainstream primary school?
Smile Education is recruiting for a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Bilston, Wolverhampton (WV14). This is a full-time, long-term position within the school's specialist Resource Base, offering the opportunity to make a genuine impact on the lives of children with additional needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a relatively new provision, giving the successful candidate the chance to shape and develop the classroom environment, curriculum and daily practice while becoming an integral part of its future success.
The Role As the Resource Base Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons for pupils with a range of additional needs.
- Create an inclusive, nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive.
- Adapt learning to meet individual EHCP targets and developmental needs.
- Work closely with two experienced Teaching Assistants who provide full-time classroom support.
- Build positive relationships with parents, external professionals and the wider school team.
- Monitor pupil progress and contribute to reviews and target setting.
- Promote independence, confidence and social development.

We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching children with Special Educational Needs, either in mainstream or specialist settings.
- Strong understanding of SEND strategies and inclusive teaching practices.
- Experience supporting pupils with a range of needs, including autism, communication needs, cognition and learning difficulties, or SEMH (desirable).
- Excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
- A patient, creative and child-centred approach.
- Competitive daily rate or salary, including an additional SEN allowance.
