A fantastic Secondary SEN School in Blackley is seeking an enthusiastic and caring teacher to join their team, supporting pupils aged 11-19 with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and complex needs. This is a highly rewarding role where you'll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people while working within a supportive and experienced team.



The Role

As a Secondary SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging, personalised lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with PMLD and complex learning needs.
  • Create a stimulating, sensory-rich learning environment that promotes communication, independence and personal development.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists and other professionals to provide outstanding support.
  • Adapt the curriculum to meet EHCP outcomes and celebrate every achievement, no matter how small.
  • Foster a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom where every pupil can thrive.


The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Has experience teaching pupils with PMLD, complex needs or within an SEN setting.
  • Is creative, patient and committed to providing outstanding education for children with additional needs.
  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
