Supply Desk is seeking a passionate, nurturing, and dedicated Primary SEN Teacher specialising in profound learning difficulties to join a welcoming and inclusive specialist school in Garston from September.

Working as part of a collaborative and experienced specialist team, you will plan and deliver highly differentiated and personalised learning opportunities tailored to the individual needs of each pupil. You will work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, therapists, and other professionals to support pupils' communication, sensory, physical, social, emotional, and educational development.

The Role

• Plan and deliver engaging, personalised, and highly differentiated learning experiences tailored to the individual needs of pupils with profound learning difficulties.
• Create a safe, stimulating, sensory-rich, and inclusive classroom environment that supports every pupil's development.
• Use a range of communication strategies, sensory approaches, and practical activities to support pupils' learning and engagement.
• Assess, monitor, and track individual pupil progress, using assessment effectively to inform future planning and teaching.
• Develop pupils' communication, independence, social, emotional, physical, and functional skills alongside their academic development.
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, therapists, and other professionals to provide consistent and holistic support.
• Build positive and professional relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues.
• Adapt teaching strategies, resources, and learning environments to meet complex and individual needs.
• Contribute to the wider school community through enrichment activities and school events.
• Uphold high standards of behaviour, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has experience teaching pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), complex needs, or significant SEN within a UK school setting.
• Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Has a strong understanding of specialist teaching approaches and strategies for supporting pupils with profound learning difficulties.
• Is passionate about providing an engaging, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
• Has the ability to differentiate and personalise learning to meet individual pupil needs.
• Is patient, compassionate, resilient, and committed to celebrating every pupil's progress and achievements.
• Promotes inclusive teaching practices and supports the needs of every pupil.
• Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Has a thorough understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
